Standing on the precipice of these tidepools on the far end of Moloka’i, I watched as fierce waves rolled in around me. I could barely set up the tripod with such little room to stand, but I knew this was going to make an incredible shot if I could get it. Lucky for me, The waves shook the rocks around me as the ocean barreled towards me. My comfort level was fading as I knew I was putting myself and my gear in a perilous situation.
But then a break came and I was able to get the shot setup and when the next set of waves rolled through, I snapped away. This image was the most interesting of the few I was able to get. I love the way the ocean streaks around the rocks and sucks back out to the depths of the Pacific. I spent many nights at this area trying to recapture the magic of this evening, but never have I been lucky enough to rekindle the spectacle of this evening in early February.
