I was enjoying the afternoon lounging around by the pool, when an old timer struck up a conversation with me.  We got to talking and when he found out I was a photographer he told me about this place off the beaten path.  I listened in awe of this jewel of a bay he spoke of.  The road to the bay had long been covered up with brush and eroded over time from heavy rains, but it was only probably about a mile from a turnoff not far from where we were.

I knew I had to check this place out, and that evening my wife and I ventured out to find this hidden place.  As the sun began to set, we finally stumbled upon the golden sands and untouched beach the old-timer spoke of.  I didn’t have too much time to setup a shot, but thankfully, I was ready and fortunate enough to snap this shot just as the sun disappeared over the horizon.

Some day I’m going to return to this beach, but until then, at least I have this beautiful photo to keep my mind going back to that magical evening.
